Position Summary

The Department of Occupational Therapy in the School of Health & Human Sciences invites applications to join a pool of part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach online and on-campus courses in the entry-level occupational therapy clinical doctorate program and the post-professional doctorate program. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in graduate teaching. Responsibilities for this adjunct faculty position include course preparation and instruction in areas they have demonstrated content expertise. We welcome expertise in adult rehabilitation, older adults, the scholarship of teaching and learning, management & supervision, leadership development, knowledge translation and implementation science.

The Department of Occupational Therapy is part of a dynamic academic and research community that includes eight departments in the School of Health and Human Sciences (SHHS), 15 research labs and institutes, and over 400 clinical and community partnerships.

The School of Health & Human Sciences is looking for adjunct faculty who will contribute to our commitment to engage the city, state, nation, and beyond through teaching, research and service, in consideration of the rich diversity of our campus and city as we prepare our graduates to enter and lead in an increasingly complex world.

Basic Qualifications

• Clinical doctorate or Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy or a related field awarded by an institution accredited by a USDE recognized regional accrediting body.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in graduate teaching
• Values and participates in interdisciplinary work

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience mentoring and advising graduate students
2. Active participation in scholarly activity
3. A post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy or rehabilitation science
4. Licensed occupational therapist

Salary and Rank Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
