Adjunct Appointments & Adjunct Clinical Appointments (New), College of Medicine & Health The Head of College, Prof Helen Whelton, is pleased to open the application process for Adjunct Positions within the College of Medicine and Health. Important Information • The call is open from Friday 4th September 2026 until 12 noon on Tuesday 27th October 2026. • Only fully completed applications submitted via the UCC HR portal will be reviewed by the College of Medicine and Health Adjunct Appointments Committee. • Successful applicants will receive one of the honorary titles listed below: - Adjunct Professor - Adjunct Senior Lecturer - Adjunct Lecturer - Adjunct Clinical Professor - Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer - Adjunct Clinical Lecturer • Appointments are for 3 years and are subject to renewal following review of application by the Adjunct Appointments Committee. Who should NOT use this route of application Specialist Registrar / Registrar Non-Consulting Hospital Doctors working in clinical sites affiliated to UCC School of Medicine should not apply for adjunct appointment through this College level call. - A separate call will be made by the School of Medicine in July 2027 for the specific 1-year Adjunct Clinical Lectureship. Consultants with School of Medicine Clinical Senior Lecturer (CSL) contracts. - Medical Consultants are eligible to hold a CSL contract with the School of Medicine. - Go to UCC Job Vacancies for School of Medicine CSL applications (rolling call). There will be a separate University level call for promotion for previously appointed School of Medicine CSLs to Clinical Professor (date to be confirmed by UCC People and Culture).
