Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Adolescent Rheumatology NIHR portfolio studies at UCLH, working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will have a close working relationship with the adolescent rheumatology research co-ordinator and you will be expected to work in a collaborative fashion. You will also have a close working relationship with the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology and specifically with the Centre’s manager and clinical trial co-ordinator.
  • Co-ordinate and support clinical and early phase interventional studies at ULCH
  • Co-ordinate and support national cohort studies and work closely with existing Centre research co-ordinator
  • Ensure the safe administration of treatments and drugs that are given within the context of a clinical study
  • Co-ordinate the care of clinical study participants
  • Undertake extended roles in relation to the demands of individual studies
  • To attend multi-disciplinary meetings, and appropriate clinics, to screen, consent and recruit new participants, and to act as a resource to the members of the MDT

This full-time post and is funded until 31st January 2020 as it covers a maternity leave position. We welcome part-time applicants.

The candidate should have:

Registered General Nursing Certification Paediatric/adult basic life support training Level 3 safe-guarding training (could be organised as part of induction) Good Clinical Practice training Previous knowledge regarding patient recruitment into cohort and interventional studies.

Phlebotomy and cannulation skills
