Healthcare Innovation (HCI) Programs

 

The Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation is requesting applications from qualified candidates to fill interdisciplinary Faculty Associate positions in the Healthcare Innovation (HCI) programs. Faculty Associates support a variety of HCI courses in the programs' face-to-face, hybrid, or fully-online environments.

 

The HCI programs are focused on developing leaders of innovation, both entrepreneurs and “intrapreneurs.” The HCI programs provide students the skills and insights that enable them to foster and sustain a successful culture of innovation and improve outcomes in complex health care environments.

 

 Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Completion of the 15-hour ASUOnline faculty development program or comparable faculty development program (this can be completed post-hire.) 
  • Online instruction and student management in a variety of HCI courses.
  • Availability of approximately 16 hours/week to support students via immediate and substantial feedback on their performance in an intense 7½ week, three-credit-hour course structure.
  • Participation in regular faculty meetings via teleconference.

 

 Required Qualifications:

 

  • Earned masters degree from a regionally-accredited institution in healthcare, education, leadership, business, the social sciences, or a related area. Degree in innovation preferred.
  • A demonstrated ability to apply theories of innovation and leadership.
  • Availability of approximately 15 hours/week to support students via immediate and substantial feedback on their performance in an intense 7½ week, three-credit-hour course structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners.
  • Professional certification in good standing if required by discipline
  • Professional licensure in good standing if required by discipline

 

 Desired Qualifications:

 

  • 3 years of prior teaching experience in online learning environments
  • Experience and track record of innovation and the ability to challenge assumptions and the status quo.
  • Experience with diverse learners and mentoring students.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
  • Earned doctoral degree in healthcare, education, leadership, business, social science, or related area.
