Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Magnetic Resonance Methods Development

Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 p.a.


You will join the OCMR Liver Imaging and MRI physics groups who have expertise in quantitative liver MRI including biophysical model-based analysis, and will lead in developing new quantitative MRI techniques for the liver as part of the LITMUS collaboration, reporting to Dr Michael Pavlides and Dr Liz Tunnicliffe.

 

You will be expected to develop and adapt new quantitative MRI acquisition and analysis strategies to maximise sensitivity to changes in the liver in disease and ease of scanning patients. As well as this you will Contribute ideas for new research projects and develop ideas for generating research income, and present detailed research proposals to senior researchers. You will hold a PhD in MR physics, or hold a PhD in the physical sciences with relevant postdoctoral experience and have a demonstrated ability to manage own academic research and associated activities as part of a multidisciplinary team

 

This full-time appointment is on a fixed-term contract until 31 October 2022. You will be based at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR), Level 0, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU.
