Assistant or Associate Professor in Pharmacology

The Faculty of Pharmacy is seeking applications at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the area of
pharmacology applied to chronic inflammation, aging, endocrinology or immunotherapy.



The successful candidate will actively participate to the teaching mission of the Faculty at both
the undergraduate and graduate levels in the field of pharmacology. He or she will also contribute to the
supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.


The successful candidate will need to develop an independent, competitive and original
research program that exploits cutting-edge technology, such as bioinformatics or chemoinformatics, in the
field of pharmacology applied to chronic inflammation, aging, endocrinology or immunotherapy. This
program should be linked to the other research programs led by professors from the Faculty research axis
« Discovery and validation of therapeutic targets ». In order to help begin the research activities, the
Faculty will provide laboratory space and start-up funds.

Impact and contribution to the successful functioning of the organization: The successful candidate
will participate actively in the development of the discipline through conferences, publications or scientific
activities related to his or her field of expertise. He or she will participate to the proper functioning of the
institution by contributing to Faculty or University committees.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
To hold a PhD degree in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences or any other related discipline
To have completed a postdoctoral training or equivalent in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences
or any other related discipline
o Expertise in the fields of bioinformatics and chemoinformatics is an asset
o Pharmacy training is also an asset

Santé (FRQ-S) or the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, if you are the successful candidate

To have an adequate knowledge of the French written and spoken language or a strong
commitment to mastering the proficiency level required for teaching after arrival, in accordance
