Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 492646) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)


Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in public health, social sciences, psychology or statistics, with at least 1 year’s work experience. Preference will be given to those with experience in research, project coordination and statistical analysis. Those who possess a Master’s degree and a track record of relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I. Applicants should be detail-minded, and able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility; good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; and knowledge of the academic and/or social sectors. The appointees will assist the Principal Investigator in coordinating territory-wide household surveys and smoking hotspot surveys. They will work closely with external parties such as academics and social service groups to perform a wide range of duties including fieldwork, data collection, data management, data analysis, production of research reports, and other duties assigned by the supervisors.
