MRC Postdoctoral Fellow (Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow based in the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, a department within the University of Cambridge's School of Clinical Medicine.


We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow with experience in human neuroimaging (functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), magnetoencephalography, MEG, and/or concurrent TMS-fMRI), an interest in advanced analysis methods (e.g. multivoxel pattern analysis) and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what we can learn about cognition from neuroimaging. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively within the research programme lead by Alexandra Woolgar on projects investigating the neural basis of selective attention and flexible cognition.


This is a three-year training programme with a requirement for you to hold a PhD/DPhil. Whilst we welcome applications from those who have submitted but have not yet been awarded a PhD/DPhil, or are due to submit in the near future, please note that commencement of your appointment will be subject to the confirmation of the award within 6 months of the initial offer. For those candidates who have not submitted at the point of application, a formal offer letter will be sent upon submission.


Fixed-term: 3 years.
