The scope of the responsibilities will include the development and application of biofabrication methods, the validation of application of contrast and molecular imaging agents, the validation and application of novel nanotechnology theranostic methods, and ensuring optimal performance of in-vitro and pre-clinical in-vivo research studies. The individual in this role will also serve as a manager for the IUSM/CTSI 3D Bioprinting Core. Basic Qualifications Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. The successful applicant should have strong academic preparation (PhD level or equivalent), excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of collaborative multidisciplinary teams, and excellent project management skills in order to manage collaborative activities with multiple research teams within the department simultaneously. The individual in this position will be expected to simultaneously support the needs of ongoing active Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences research programs while simultaneously developing novel biomedical technologies and extramural support for growth of the laboratory. Preferred experience includes cell and tissue culture management, performing tissue analyses, animal handling and care, pre-clinical imaging (bioluminescence, PET, MRI), imaging agent and drug delivery, PET/SPECT imaging ligand development and testing, and quantitative data analysis.
