The School of Health Sciences (SHS) at the University of Nottingham, one of the four Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, sport rehabilitation and allied health professions.

The School is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor to lead the Advanced Clinical Practice programme (apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship route). The post is available as Research & Teaching (R & T) or a Teaching and Learning (T & L) position.

Applicants will be expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of this, and other, relevant post graduate and undergraduate modules. You may contribute to curriculum development in the School and you will be expected to liaise with external stakeholders, such as clinical providers and regulatory bodies. In addition to this, applicants for R & T post will be expected to undertake research and publish.

For T & L post, candidates must have a Masters degree or equivalent, be registered with the NMC and have significant experience in delivering advanced clinical practice. The candidate must also have relative teaching experience and be a non-medical prescriber.

For R & T post, candidates must have a PhD or equivalent, be registered with the NMC and have significant experience in delivering advanced clinical practice. The candidate must also have experience in teaching and a track record of published research, and be a non-medical prescriber

The role will be based at the Nottingham centre (QMC), but you will be expected to travel to clinical placement areas as appropriate.

This role is permanent and Full Time - 36.25 hours per week. Job share arrangement may be considered.
