Psychologist – Assistant Director of Integrated Behavioral Health

The University of Washington Department of Family Medicine seeks applicants for a junior (Assistant Professor on the Clinician/Educator track) full-time clinical psychologist position to join our faculty at the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Program. 

Leadership Role

  • Assistant Director of Integrated Behavioral Health for Department of Family Medicine
    • Support Director of Integrated Behavioral Health to promote vision and strategy for Integrated Behavioral Health services for the department
    • Assist with the recruitment and deployment of Behavioral Health Clinicians across the department clinical sites
    • Assist with ensuring the department’s integrated behavioral health services align with institutional contracting, billing, and documentation requirements
    • Facilitate enhancements to the electronic health record system to improve integrated behavioral health services

Education

  • Contribute to behavioral health education of UW Family Medicine residents, including teaching evidence based behavioral practices within the residency curriculum
  • Provide clinical supervision and evaluation to Family Medicine residents
  • Support the Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Psychology Residency Integrated Primary Care track by providing clinical supervision for psychology residents, supporting psychology resident training opportunities in the department, and assisting with new resident recruitment

Clinical Duties

  • Maintain a part-time clinical practice as an integrated behavioral health psychologist, attending and treating patients at the University of Washington Neighborhood Clinics’ Northgate Family Medicine Residency Clinic, other clinic placements within Family Medicine clinics may also be possible

Anticipated start date: July 1

Service period (12 months, July 1 through June 30)

Without tenure, due to funding

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a Doctorate in psychology (PhD or PsyD) or foreign equivalent and 2 years experience in primary care practice

Prior experience in behavioral health education is strongly preferred

Psychologist license or license eligible in Washington State
