Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a bipartite, tenure-track position at the rank of assistant teaching professor in the Respiratory Therapy Program, Allied Health Department, Faculty of Science. The department has broad interests and seeks a faculty member who demonstrates strong undergraduate teaching experience, dissemination of knowledge, and the potential for scholarly activity. The candidate will be expected to teach on the theory of assessment and application of respiratory therapy critical care practice in a variety of settings which may include any of the following: classroom, laboratory, and simulation environments. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2023.

  • Baccalaureate degree in relevant discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • RRT credential
  • A minimum of 3 years of Respiratory Therapy student teaching experience
  • Recent RRT critical care clinical experience of 5 years or greater
  • Evidence of effective teamwork and constructive communication skills
  • Evidence of dissemination of knowledge at regional, provincial, or national levels
  • Evidence of research experience or the potential for scholarly activity and research
