  Summary Description

The successful candidate will work on studying genetic and environmental factors that impact the precipitation of psychiatric and neurological disease. Candidate will primarily work on identifying genetic markers underlying Alzheimer’s disease using genetic statistical methodologies to analyze genotype and sequencing data. The project will include identification of ultra-rare genetic variants in persons with Alzheimer’s disease and the modification of Alzheimer’s disease risk through environmental factors such as education and vascular disease. In addition, candidate will be involved in writing manuscripts describing their research and presenting their findings in national and international meetings. Candidate will be expected to lead an independent but collaborative line of research, and will obtain external funding to support his/her research by writing grant proposals to the National Institutes of Health and a variety of foundations.



Minimum Degree Required

MD and/or PhD



Minimum Qualifications

Postdoctoral Fellow or Scientist experience.
