DescriptionThe Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of rhinologic/skull base surgery. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Subspecialty training in rhinology and skull base surgery is required. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Teaching responsibilities may include medical student, resident, and fellow education, as well as formal lecture opportunities. Clinical responsibilities may include the medical and surgical treatment of patients with rhinologic/skull base conditions. The successful applicant will have experience in the management of complex inflammatory disease and skull base tumor surgical treatment. The clinical practice location would be in Princeton, NJ, with research and future clinical opportunities at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include include a strong interest in developing a clinical and translational research program suitable for external federal funding in the area of inflammatory sinonasal disease. Candidates must document past research experience and present future ideas. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.
