Position Description The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) invites applications for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor positions (HS Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence, or Adjunct series) in Advanced Endoscopy. The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is internationally recognized—ranked #1 globally in research and teaching and #26 in clinical care by U.S. News & World Report. We seek highly skilled endoscopists with demonstrated expertise in Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) and advanced gastrointestinal procedures. The successful candidates will: Perform complex ESD procedures for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders (e.g., Barrett’s esophagus, early gastric cancer, rectal adenomas, large colonic polyps, and other premalignant or early malignant lesions). Participate in advanced tissue resection, novel endoscopic therapies, and management of complex lesions. Contribute to outpatient care, clinical research, device development, and education in advanced endoscopy. Serve as teaching faculty for advanced endoscopy preceptorship and gastroenterology fellowship programs. Participate in an on-call rotation for gastroenterology emergencies and consultations. The appointment level and series will be commensurate with the candidate’s background, training, and experience.
