Description: The Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital is inviting applications for the position of Academic Breast Surgical Oncologist. This appointment is for a full-time position. The effective date of this appointment is flexible, tentatively aiming for March 31, 2025.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative clinical practice with a team of 12 fellowship-trained surgical oncologists and colorectal surgeons. The successful candidate will also work in the Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre with a team of breast and plastic surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and pathologists to provide multi-disciplinary breast cancer care across the full spectrum of breast cancer care including prevention, treatment and survivorship. The successful candidate will provide the full scope of breast cancer surgery services including consultations, surgical procedures, and follow up. The successful candidate will have an academic focus in basic, clinical or education research, quality improvement or another relevant area of focused academic expertise. Evidence of excellence in teaching, research, and clinical care is required. Candidate Qualifications
