Full-time positions are available for jobs in a new Telepsychiatry Service, which is a new partnership between NYP, CUIMC, and Weill Cornell.

Responsibilities include providing telepsychiatry consultation to emergency rooms and inpatient care settings on NewYork-Presbyterian campuses and regional hospitals. The position entails working with psychiatric nurse practitioners at each hospital site. The schedule will be rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, with a three shift per week schedule for full-time employment. We offer competitive salary and benefits, and there is an opportunity to increase total compensation through extra shift work or participating in our faculty practice.

Training in psychosomatic medicine is an asset, but not required.

Telepsychiatry service will have availability in both Adult and Child services.

Minimum Degree Required

Minimum Educational Requirements:
MD or DO from accredited institution.
NYS License.
Active DEA License.
ABPN Board Certified (for graduating residents/fellows, Board Certification within 6 months of start date is acceptable).
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (specific for Child services).
Associate Professor level requires a burgeoning national recognition of clinical expertise by virtue of: (1) Honors and leadership in regional or national professional societies; (2) Important contributions to quality assurance programs, clinical practice guideline development, or policy panels; (3) Development of or leading the application of clinical technology that changes practice or patient outcomes; (4) Membership on editorial boards or clinical or public health specialty journals; (5) Authorship of book chapters, case reports, or membership in clinical research as a site investigator for large multicenter trials or public health intervention programs within the discipline; (6) Development of guidelines/patient care protocols, which are used locally, regionally, or nationally. Additionally, recognition by peers and students as healthcare professional delivering quality patient care or related patient service, if applicable. Expertise within the discipline should be evident, though leadership may not be predominant. Academic citizenship demonstrated by service or departmental, local, or national organization committees and leadership in University/national professional organizations.
