The School of Health Sciences (SoHS) is seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate with an additional role responsibility for Student Supervision Support Assessment (SSSA) & Electronic Practice Documentation (EPAD) for practice learning. This is an exciting developmental role for an individual who is committed and motivated to advancing the practice learning element of curricula to ensure that the School’s vision for delivering excellence to students is realised. The role-holder will be provided with training to develop their skills, knowledge, and experience in leadership and management, conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing, strategic planning, staff development, engagement, and equality and diversity.

As a Teaching Associate the post holder will contribute to the delivery of School curricula, work with Academic Plan Leads and Course Teams and provide personal tutor support to students. The SSSA Role component will require the post holder to liaise with academic and clinical practice staff to lead on SSSA and EPAD guidance, training and implementation for the school. This will include development of resources for students and staff as well as support and preparation of academic assessors, practice supervisors and practice assessors.

The post is offered on a permanent basis 0.6FTE as a Teaching Associate and 0.4FTE for the SSSA role component. All roles within the school are offered on a 3-year rotational basis and so the SSSA role component would be reviewed after 3 years where the post holder would have the opportunity to move into another role within the school.

Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Heidi Baker, heidi.baker@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

It is a condition of this post that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the 'Disclosure and Barring Service'.
