Position DescriptionThe Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGS) at Emory University provides postgraduate obstetrician–gynecologists with the opportunity to gain advanced surgical expertise while working alongside the department’s team of highly skilled minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons. The Division of Gynecologic Specialties performs a broad spectrum of minimally invasive procedures, including:
Fellows hold a junior faculty appointment within the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and are expected to contribute to teaching, research, and clinical service according to their training and career goals. The primary clinical role is active participation in all clinical activities performed by FMIGS core faculty. Fellows may engage in clinical and/or translational research opportunities within the Department, and research participation is required. Effort Distribution & ExpectationsScholarly Activities (20–25%)In alignment with School of Medicine guidelines for appointment, promotion, and tenure, fellows are expected to engage in scholarship, including:
