We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Clinical Nursing Cancer Care, to a two-year fixed term post within our award-winning School of Health Sciences with its vibrant community and its outstanding reputation, and with the Division of Cancer and Associated Specialities at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). You will work 60% at the University of Nottingham and 40% at NUH. You will undertake a programme of cancer care research consistent with being an Associate Professor, alongside a commitment to be a compassionate role model and to mentor and support other colleagues. Your research will inform policy and practice; you will supervise postgraduate research students and support clinical academic early career researchers. You will also contribute excellent teaching in nursing cancer care. You will deliver clinical cancer care for a minimum of 2 days a month at NUH; provide cancer nursing expertise within the clinical setting and lead on programmes of work to improve the safety and effectiveness of clinical cancer care. We are looking for an outstanding nurse clinical academic with cutting edge research expertise and contemporary high calibre and credible clinical skills in cancer nursing within the UK setting. You will join a School and Hospital that is inclusive, supportive, ambitious and developmental for all staff. Applicants must be registrants of the Nursing and midwifery council (NMC). This is a fixed term, two-year post. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) however applicants are welcome from candidate wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
