The postholder will: Ensure high-quality, coherent delivery of existing activities across teaching, research, and clinical practice Develop their own research interests Play a critical role in raising the profile of clinical research Strengthen the relationship between the School of Medicine, clinical faculty, and corporate leadership at St James’s Hospital The Discipline of Pharmacology and Therapeutics was established in St. James’s Hospital as a centre of excellence for pharmacology, hypertension, cardiovascular risk, and prescribing practice—encompassing patient care, research, and education. The specialty interfaces with the Wellcome-Health Research Board Clinical Research Facility at St James’s Hospital (SJH-CRF) and other relevant disciplines including Medicine and Medical Education. The post will be a 50:50 clinical academic contract based at St James’s Hospital and Trinity College Dublin.
