The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Blood and Marrow Transplantation, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Bone Marrow Transplantation Medical Director as an Associate Professor or Professor in Clinical Pediatrics.

The successful candidate will hold a primary academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine. The pediatric BMT Program, which is one of the largest in the world, has performed more than 1,800 transplants since 1983 and currently performs approximately 90-100 transplants annually for a wide variety of pediatric disorders including malignant, hematological, immunodeficiency and other genetic diseases. The program is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). The CCCBD supports active clinical trials programs in hematology, oncology, BMT and cell therapy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in Bone Marrow Transplantation.

Applicants will be expected to provide high quality clinical care to a diverse and complex population of patients, have experience in the development and conduct of clinical trials in his/her area of expertise, excellent communication skills, and enjoy teaching residents and fellows.

The Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases (CCCBD) is the pediatric component of the NCI-designated USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and is one of the largest and top-ranked pediatric hematology-oncology programs in the U.S., serving one of our nation’s most diverse patient populations.  It hosts an ACGME accredited Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellowship and advanced specialty post graduate sub-specialty fellowships. The CCCBD has been continuously ranked by the U.S. News & World Report in the top ten pediatric cancer programs every year since the rankings were launched in 2008.
