This 5-year term appointment (renewable once) includes the opportunity to hold the Pfizer Chair in Cardiology Research. The Division Head will provide leadership across clinical care, education, research, and academic administration for the Division of Cardiology, currently comprised of 65 cardiologists across 15 subspecialty areas. The Division Head will: Lead with vision and strategy to enhance clinical care, research, and education. Collaborate with hospital leadership and faculty to advance city-wide cardiology programs. Support faculty recruitment, mentorship, and career development. Promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of Division activities. Align Division goals with hospital and Departmental strategic plans. Qualifications MD degree with certification (or eligibility) in Cardiology/Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Proven leadership and academic excellence in research, clinical care, education, and professional service. Experience in strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership in complex healthcare settings. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and within the range for Academic Physician Leaders at U of T teaching hospitals.
