Chief and Professor in Pediatric Pulmonology

The University of Florida, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology.  This is a faculty position in the non-tenure or tenure track with the rank of Chief & Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Pediatric Pulmonology.

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology has six pediatric pulmonologists, four fellows, two nurse practitioners, three nurses and other members of a multidisciplinary team.  The Division has an active cystic fibrosis center, sleep center and is a member of the Pediatric Pulmonary Center (PPC) Training Program. The outpatient clinics include sleep, CF, severe asthma; neuromuscular disorders, trach/vent, and the fellows participate in the general pediatrics continuity clinic as well as specialty clinics. There is excellent communication and collaboration with other pediatric subspecialties in both in- and out-patient settings.

UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital represents the only quaternary-care academic pediatric center in North Florida. The children’s hospital has 208 beds, including fully-equipped pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is part of the Children's Miracle Network's alliance of premier hospitals for children.

The incumbent will participate in program development, research and education, in addition to patient care. Rank and tenure will be commensurate with qualifications.  


Applicants must have a M.D. or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida. Applicants should also have completed an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Pulmonology, and be board certified / board eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology
