Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Allergy and Infectious Diseases (Veterans Affairs)Position OverviewOrganization: Medicine, Allergy & Infectious Diseases Title: Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Allergy and Infectious Diseases (Veterans Affairs) Position DetailsPosition DescriptionThe Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (AID) in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position (1.0 FTE). This position will be at the Clinical Assistant Professor level and will have clinical and teaching components. This position will also serve as Co-lead of the VA Puget Sound healthcare system Infection Prevention team. The position has an annual service period of 12-months [July 1-June 30] and is anticipated to start in July 2021. The successful candidate will take on a clinical faculty position in the Puget Sound VA providing clinical care of patients with HIV and general infectious diseases in Seattle, on the American Lake campus, and elsewhere via telemedicine services. The duties of this position include primarily clinical care, but also teaching and mentoring of fellows and other trainees in infection prevention, HIV disease and general infectious diseases. University of Washington faculty engage in clinical, teaching, and research activities. QualificationsApplicants must hold a MD (or foreign equivalent) and be board eligible/ board certified in General Internal Medicine and, minimally, board eligible in Infectious Diseases.
