£36261 to £48677 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

In addition, a non-consolidated clinical supplement and AVA will be offered to the successful candidate, dependent on the amount of clinical work undertaken.

The University of Nottingham’s School of Veterinary Medicine and Science has established a successful CPD programme, and is seeking an experienced small animal practitioner to further develop the  small animal CPD offerings, including forging collaborations within and outside the University, with a focus on the delivery of training and support to early career veterinary surgeons.


In addition, the role will supervise final year students operating, working up cases and consulting on rotations in our Clinical Associate practices as well as contribute to the teaching of a variety of subjects relating to small animal clinical practice to the earlier years in the School.


The post will require dynamism, a ‘can do’ attitude, energy and initiative, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and have good communication skills.    the person appointed will take an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, and will be expected to engage and be involved in the wider life of the School as required.


Candidates should possess a primary veterinary degree that can be be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, a post-graduate teaching or clinical qualification would be an advantage.
