The University seeks to appoint a Clinical Professor of Clinical Oncology with special focus on Cancer Invasion and Targeted Drug Delivery to commence as soon as possible. The externally funded professorship is combined with a c consultancy/senior researcher position at Rigshospitalet, the Finsen Laboratory, Centre for Cancer and Organ Diseases in the Capital Region.
It is a requirement for appointment that the applicant is accepted for both the professorship and the consultancy/senior researcher position. Job description
The professor’s responsibilities will primarily consist of:
Required qualifications
In the consideration of applications for the professorship, the main emphasis will be on the applicant's ability to document a high level of original scientific work at an international level within the area of oncology with special focus on cancer invasion and targeted drug delivery. In particular, emphasis will be on laboratory-based molecular and translational cancer research, defining new molecular targets for drug delivery in the cancer invasion field and developing therapeutic agents against those.
The professor is also required to possess good interpersonal and communicative skills.
