This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical research fellow to work within Genitourinary (GU) oncology studies ongoing within the GU group led by Professor Silke Gillessen.

These prestigious fellowships will allow senior medical trainees to work within GU cancers at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The focus of these fellowships will be on translational research in penile cancer, a rare disease that is mostly neglected and on bone health in prostate cancer in a project working together with the endocrinology team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

Clinically the work will be in the GU cancer research clinic supporting the experienced team with the aim to lead a biomarker driven trial. A key part of this process is to encourage education and empowerment of research staff at all levels, which includes training the next generation of cancer research leaders.

These positions are suitable for enthusiastic and research-motivated applicants with Medical degrees and Membership of The Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent, who are pursuing a career in Medical Oncology and have an interest in gaining further research and clinical trial experience in GU cancers.

You must hold full General Medical Council (GMC) registration and have International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency at the time of post commencement. This fellowship is a two-year, full-time position to support clinical research in these disease groups and to provide specialist experience and training in the relevant disease areas for the successful applicants.
