The appointee may hold an honorary consultant contract with Barts and The London NHS Trust. This post has overall accountability for the delivery of Institute’s strategy as it relates to education and research.

This post sits within the Institute of Health Sciences Education, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD), part of Queen Mary University of London. The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent Professorial appointment, with a three-year renewable term for Institute Director, and is available immediately. The starting salary will be made on the Academic Professorial or Consultant scale as applicable, commensurate with skills and experience. An Institute Director allowance of £12,500 accompanies this role for the period of the Director tenure.
