Position Overview

The Head of the Institute of Internal Gastroenterology will lead a medical, educational, and research institution focused on diagnosis and treatment of internal diseases, particularly the digestive tract. The department also includes specialized clinics in nephrology, allergology, diabetology, and endocrinology.

The Head will be responsible for:

• Management of the clinic and medical team

• Oversight of undergraduate medical education and doctoral studies

• Coordination of research and scientific publishing

• Ensuring teaching and vocational training at the department

Candidates will present their vision and plan for fulfilling these responsibilities during the selection process.

Requirements

• University degree in General Medicine (or equivalent from abroad)

• Eligibility to practice medicine in gastroenterology (per Section 5 of Act No. 95/2004 Coll.)

• Academic degree PhD or CSc

• Habilitation required; full professor title is an advantage

• Personal and professional capability to lead medical and academic teams

• Teaching experience and readiness to guarantee vocational subjects

• Active scientific and publishing activity in gastroenterology

• Active knowledge of Czech

• Moral integrity

• Compliance with Act No. 451/1991 Coll. (Lustration Act) – not required for those born after 1 Dec 1971 or applicants from abroad
