Position Title(s): Instructor and Assistant Professor level positions in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC)

Job Description:
Full time positions are available for outpatient psychiatrists to work within ColumbiaDoctors outpatient faculty practice. This is a vibrant and growing group practice with opportunities for peer supervision and collaboration in an academic medical center setting.

Clinical work will consist mostly of providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatments for general psychiatry. Psychiatrists focus on 30-minute visits geared towards med management, but there are opportunities for combined therapy cases as well. The setting requires flexibility, consultative skills, and action collaboration with other providers and team members. Relevant experience includes providing diagnostic psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacologic and short-term psychotherapeutic treatments for a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. Working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team with strong interpersonal and communication skills is important.

Specialty experience in the following are a bonus, but not required:
- Treatment-resistant depression
ECT/ketamine
- Women’s mental health
- Substance use disorders/addiction
- X-number to prescribe buprenorphine
- Clozapine
LGBT mental health
- Child psychiatry
CBT/DBT skills

Minimum Degree Required

Minimum Educational Requirements:
MD or DO from accredited institution.
NYS License.
Active DEA License.
ABPN Board Certification (for graduating residents/fellows, Board Certification within 6 months of start date is acceptable).
For MDs: appointment a the Instructor level requires graduation from a psychiatric residency program. Assistant Professor requires board certification in psychiatry and 2+ years independent clinical experience post residency.

Minimum Qualifications
