The School of Sport and Biomedical Sciences are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Biomedical Science.

The key duties of the post holder will be to contribute to the delivery and administrative support of undergraduate BSc (Hons) Medical Biology/Medical Biology with Foundation modules, which will include the academic and personal support of students.

You will have a first degree and PhD, or equivalent level of qualification (or willingness to achieve), in a relevant biological sciences discipline. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in any biomedical science discipline (e.g. cell biology, biochemistry, haematology, physiology, immunology etc.) but candidates with experience in medical genetics and/or microbiology are particularly encouraged to apply.

You should have extensive research and/or industrial experience and be able to offer insight into applying your research/professional experience into teaching. Ideally, you will hold a teaching qualification and have membership of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

The successful candidate should demonstrate an awareness of current developments in biomedical science, as well as being able to facilitate the creation and maintenance of a range of links between academic and research initiatives and employers.
