The School is continuing to invest in new academic staff, expanding its capability in food innovation. The post will expand the research capability of the School by investigating the role ingredients and food processing in innovative and sustainable food products that can improve health and wellbeing. We are seeking to appoint a lecturer in the field of food innovation with an emphasis on food quality and sustainability. The post holder will be required to deliver inspirational teaching and supervision as well as internationally recognised research. We invite applications from outstanding academics of who are able to demonstrate a track record in student education, research and academic leadership. As a lecturer in the School of Food Science and Nutrition, you will carry out teaching and research in the field of food innovation and contribute to academic leadership. Your research will focus particularly on understanding the roles of ingredients and food processing in structuring novel, palatable and sustainable functional foods for better health. You will be a member of the Food Colloids and Bioprocessing research group, building collaborations with research groups in the school, the wider university, nationally and internationally. With a passion for undertaking research-led teaching as well as a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolio, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of student education and research at the University of Leeds. You will have a PhD in a relevant field, and a proven record of both research outputs and teaching in a university environment.
