The Department of Clinical Sciences and Advanced Medicine, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants for an annually renewable Lecturer position in Immuno-Oncology.

The successful candidate will provide excellent clinical service in our Section of Medical Oncology. Clinical service responsibilities will primarily involve seeing patients in our Medical Oncology Service for 12 weeks annually. The remaining time will be dedicated to clinical and basic immuno-oncology research, including grant and manuscript preparation.

The Comprehensive Cancer Care Program (https://www.vet.upenn.edu/veterinary-hospitals/ryan-veterinary-hospital/services/comprehensive-cancer-care) is supported by cross-disciplinary teams including 10 ACVIM, ACVS, AVCR, or ACVECC board- certified faculty in support of the program. There are currently 4 residents enrolled in the oncology residency training program and 1 clinical trial intern in support of the program. More than 30 diplomates of multiple American certifying colleges, who are leaders in their fields, support the Comprehensive Cancer Care Program. Candidates must have a veterinary degree and must have attained Board Certification in Medical Oncology by the American or European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) by the position start date. Completion of a PhD program in immunological or oncological sciences is also required. Applications will be reviewed until an appropriate candidate is identified. Though negotiable, the anticipated start date of the position is November 1, 2020. Salary will be commensurate with professional and academic credentials and experience.
