Lecturer in Clinical Anatomy, iEd Hub & Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience

UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Clinical Anatomy to support the development and delivery of iEd Hub courses. Medically trained doctors are particularly welcome to apply. Reporting to the Head of the iEd Hub and the Head of Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience, the Lecturer will be affiliated with UCC’s Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience The iEd Hub is a consortium led by University College Cork and includes Munster Technological University and multiple enterprise partners. This consortium represents a novel, agile educational platform to produce next generation graduates for the Medtech & Biopharma industry sector in Ireland.
 
The successful candidate of this position will have demonstrated potential for contributing to the teaching, research, and scholarly activity in medicine and/or anatomy and carry out other duties appropriate to the post under the general direction of the Head of the iEd Hub and/or Head of the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience. The successful candidate will be primarily involved in lecturing on iEd Hub programmes, and may also be expected to lecture on other programmes in the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience.
 
The successful candidate will also possess the ambition and capability to undertake and publish high-quality, impactful, and internationally competitive research in translational medicine.
 
Research within the Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience is multidisciplinary in nature (www.ucc.ie/en/anatomy/research/ ). This strategy, aided by substantial institutional and external grant support, has empowered high-impact collaborations between academic staff, clinicians and technologists, that have surmounted traditional boundaries to not only accelerate innovation and discovery, but also to translate this transformative research to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Above the Bar Salary Scale: € 73691 – €95,424 (Scale B) / € €70,111 – €90,661(Scale A) per annum, pro rata (0.5 FTE).
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
