At NTU, we recognise that our greatest strengths lie in the energy, expertise, and experience that our colleagues bring.  Thanks to our £421 million investment in estates and equipment across our three campuses since 2003/4, we deliver an inspirational learning environment for both staff and students.  Our research facilities allow us to shape lives and society, which is central to our mission and achievements of our aims.

As we expand the department of Biosciences we seek a highly motivated individual with the skills and experience to join our established research and teaching teams within Biosciences. You will have a PhD in a Bioscience discipline or related area and an emerging record in research, specifically endocrinology or clinical pharmacology, which complements our teaching expertise in Pharmacology, Physiology, Toxicology and Neurobiology and research in Diabetes, Chronic diseases and Ageing. This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a team to help shape developments in both teaching and research within the largest department in the School of Science and Technology. There are substantial facilities to support work in the denoted areas of research within the Department of Biosciences and beyond. On Clifton Campus, there is access to undertake electrophysiology and relevant facilities, encompassing imaging suites, genomics and proteomics facilities, as well as numerous molecular biology technologies to support the highest quality research activity. There are also several researchers working in this area within the department to support coordinated projects.

You will work within our rapidly evolving Clifton Campus, a multi-award-winning site including a recently opened interdisciplinary science and technology building, with state-of-the-art bioscience research and teaching labs. A medical technology innovation facility and a building for engineering are due for completion in 2019.

We are also extremely proud to have been named Modern University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018. All of these achievements are testament to the passion, ideas and ambition of our workforce.

We recognise that our rise up the league tables is thanks to harnessing the creativity and talent of our people. Join us, at this exciting time and take your career to the next level too.
