About the Role

Applications are invited for a part-time Clinical Trial Manager to lead the set-up and operational delivery of a clinical trial based in NHS Primary Care. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team within the School of Medicine, working closely with Chief Investigators, researchers, clinicians, and partner organisations.

You will be responsible for all aspects of trial management to ensure the efficient and successful completion of the study. This includes coordination with trial sites, oversight committees, funders, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and internal University stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the set-up and management of a primary care clinical trial

  • Maintain effective communication with trial teams, investigators, clinical sites, TMG, TSC, DMC, R&D offices, funders, and regulators

  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of trial records, documentation, and reports

  • Support the preparation and submission of materials to regulators, funders, and oversight committees

  • Maintain high standards of trial governance and compliance


Person Specification

Essential skills include:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in clinical trial coordination or management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent organisational skills with a commitment to accurate documentation

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team


Contract Details

  • Hours: Part-time (21.75 hours per week)

  • Duration: Fixed-term until 31 May 2028

  • Closing date: Monday 05 January 2026
