Summary Description

The Xuebing Wu laboratory in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Systems Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a motivated postdoctoral research scientist. The successful candidate will develop integrated genomic approaches to study the mechanisms of post-transcriptional gene regulation in human cells, including mRNA folding and translational regulation. Ideally, the candidate will have training and experience in molecular biology (cloning, next-generation sequencing, etc.) and mammalian cell culture. The postdoctoral period is for a minimum of two years and the candidate will be mentored towards an independent academic career. More information about the Wu laboratory can be found at



Minimum Degree Required

Candidates must have a PhD, MD-PhD or equivalent doctoral training.



Minimum Qualifications

An ability to work independently as well as in a strong team-science environment is required. Experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.



Preferred Qualifications

Experience with RNA biology, molecular cloning, CRISPR/Cas, and genomics.
