Summary Description

The Lung Biology Laboratory (LBL) in the Department of Medicine has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist. The LBL group carries out basic scientific research in lung immunity against inhaled pathogens (see our website at Research emphasis is in live optical imaging of the mouse and human lungs define the immunomodulatory role of epithelial calcium. Current projects are to study mitochondrial transfer from stem cell to the epithelium, mitochondria as regulators of epithelial defense, macrophage-epithelial interactions, monocyte repair of injured epithelium, and therapy with purified proteins.



Minimum Degree Required

M.D. and/or Ph.D.



Minimum Qualifications

Background in any of the ongoing projects, or related fields is preferred.
