The Unit of Immunology (Department of Human Medicine) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Oldenburg invites applicants for a Postdoc position (m/f/d) (E13 TV-L, 100 %, 3 years) The position is suitable for part-time work. The unit of Immunology concentrates on analyzing the regulation of the immune system in systemic autoimmune diseases, during the progression of sterile inflammatory disorders, the defense against microbes, and the progression of (skin) tumors. The interaction of antigen-presenting cells and T cells plays an important role in the development of systemic autoimmunity, e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and it has been shown that this interaction often involves CD40/CD40L signaling. In this project, we will use an established mouse model for SLE (K14-CD40L tg) to investigate the impact of various transcription factors, including the aryl hydrocarbon receptor, on the pathophysiology of SLE and the development of autoreactive cells.
