We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead new programmes of research in behavioural psychology in healthcare settings and in dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery particular. The postholder will collaborate with researchers across the faculty in line with the new SMD Research Strategy, to will build critical mass in health psychology and, with relevant to oral and maxillofacial health. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientist-practitioner Health Psychologist to demonstrate creativity and to have their career flourish in a supportive environment. The appointee will have a strong track record. Candidates should be a highly credible researcher. They should publish in high-impact journals and have a history of attracting significant research funding. They will have a history of successful PhD supervision. The post is based in the Institute of Dentistry, Centre for Dental Public Health and Primary Care. There are opportunities to work with clinical psychologists providing patient service and staff support services at the Royal London Dental Hospital. About the Institute The Institute of Dentistry (IoD) is one of six Institutes in FMD, located primarily on our Whitechapel site. IoD comprises four academic research centers and employs in excess of 170 staff (c77 FTE).
