The University seeks to appoint a clinical professor of Internal medicine: Haematology with special focus on data-driven cancer treatment to commence as soon as possible. The externally funded professorship is combined with a consultancy at Department of Haematology, Copenhagen University Hospital - Rigshospitalet in the Capital Region. Job description In the consideration of applications for the professorship, the main emphasis will be on the applicant's ability to document a high level of original scientific work at an international level within the area of Internal medicine: Haematology. The professor’s responsibilities will primarily consist of: Research, including publication/academic dissemination - Establishment of an externally funded research program in personalized haematology and oncology including integration of molecular, genetic and functional characterization of patient samples with registry data and data from electronic health records. Research-based teaching, including associated examination - Transfer of knowledge and capabilities from deployment of mAI and decision support tools through teaching and supervision of students at the undergraduate, graduate and PhD-levels, including contributions to the national master program in personalized medicine, development of online tools for teaching in haematology and mAI, and active participation in development of PhD programs in oncology with focus on mAI. Research leadership - Establishment of collaborative investigator initiated clinical trials and national collaborations for development of mAI and real-world data, active participation in development of clinical guidelines and international research training/conferences. Obligation to share knowledge with the rest of society, including participation in public debate. Academic assessments. Required qualifications To be qualified for a clinical professor position, you will be assessed according to these six overall criteria for recognising merit at the University of Copenhagen: Research, teaching, societal impact, organisational contribution, external funding, and leadership.
