Job Description The Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), UAE University, is seeking to appoint a full-time faculty member to contribute to its teaching, research, and consultancy activities in Biostatistics. We are looking to appoint a suitable candidate with training, experience, and achievements in Biostatistics. The successful candidate will assist in teaching biostatistics to undergraduate medical students, and graduate students, including the inaugural MSc in Clinical Research. The candidate should be expected to conduct advanced statistical research, contribute to the supervision of PhD students, and participate in curriculum development and academic program enhancement. The appointee is anticipated to initiate and be the principal investigator for research projects relevant to the health of communities in the UAE. There are good opportunities for collaboration with colleagues in the CMHS and other UAEU colleges, in addition to local and regional institutions. Particular importance is attached to developing strong links with educational establishments, health authorities, government agencies, and other institutions in the UAE and the wider region. International collaboration is encouraged. Minimum Qualification Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Biostatistics or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in teaching biostatistics or related courses at the university level. Preferred Qualification PhD degree in Biostatistics and relevant experience in advanced biostatistical methods, deep learning, machine learning, and longitudinal models.
