The Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB) is seeking a highly motivated molecular biology Research Assistant.

In the role of Molecular Biology Research Assistant, you will bring in your expertise in cell culture, cloning and other molecular techniques to participate in developing and testing new therapies to restore vision.
Your position
Performing tissue culture experiments including protein production by transfection with recombinant DNA, and generation of stable cell lines. DNA Cloning. Maintaining clear and accurate communication with supervisor and other team members. Standard molecular biology work. Support of research associates in their research activities.
Your profile
Biology lab assistant (or equivalent education) or Bachelor's/Master's Degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology or related field with five years of relevant experience; Independence in the planning, realization, analysis and troubleshooting of standard molecular biology experiments; Enthusiasm to establish and optimize new protocols and techniques; Highly organized, detail-oriented and skilled with computer work; Good written and oral communication skills in English.
