Research Position in Health Sciences Dresden University Medicine, Centre for Evidence-based health care

The Centre for Evidence-based health care (ZEGV) serves as a common means of the Medical Faculty and the University Hospital Dresden promotion, coordination and interdisciplinary and cross-forest integration of the activities of health services research, quality research and evidence-based medicine at the Dresden University Medicine.

Researcher (m / f) (statistician / -in)

in full-time employment, limited to occupy for an initial 18 months.

 

Your responsibilities will include the independent planning and implementation of statistical analysis of primary and secondary data and the writing of statistical interim and final reports. You are also responsible for the development of statistical methods, in particular for evaluation of secondary data. The work-up, presentation and international publication of research results, and participation in the methodological advice and university teaching also among your activities.

 

Your profile:

  • successfully completed a university degree, preferably of biometrics / statistics, epidemiology, psychology, health sciences, mathematics or sociology as possible with an additional qualification in public health or health services research
  • practical experience in the analysis and publication of studies in the field of health services research and evidence-based medicine and epidemiology
  • familiarity with database and statistical software (Stata possible, SAS, SPSS and SQL knowledge)
  • very good knowledge in the field of analysis of epidemiological primary and secondary data
  • very good English skills in speaking and writing
  • Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team, very high level of communication skills and organizational and negotiating skills
