Salary - Lecturer - £31,656 - £37,768 Salary - Senior Lecturer - £37,768 - £47,801 Full time positions working 37 hours per week (part time positions will be considered) We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer and a Senior Lecturer to contribute to the Masters programme in Optometry. You will support learning and teaching, working as an integral part of the optometry and the wider team. You will actively participate in the assessment of students, relevant research within the department and support the ongoing development of the MOptom degree. Your role will also involve the development of placements with and in local trusts, community (multiple and independent) practice and industry. You will have experience of practice working in community, hospital or primary care with evidence of current clinical practice, with an awareness of current issues in health and optometry practice and include an inter-professional perspective. You will have experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, with the ability to use appropriate teaching, learning and assessment methods and to work in a collegiate and interdisciplinary setting You will be will be registered with the General Optical Council as an Optometrist, hold a first degree in Optometry or Vision Science and/or a higher degree or professional qualification at postgraduate level.
