Overview:The Professor of Dental and Oral Health Research is a member of the School of Dentistry & Oral Health’s academic team, and specifically will be a senior research leader who will build upon Griffith’s already strong program of dental and oral health research, developing partnerships and leading research aimed at improving health and community care through the health professions. This is a continuing, full time position based at the Gold Coast campus. The role:The Professor of Dental and Oral Health Research will support the Head of School in implementing the Schools Research Plan and will be expected to advance research productivity within the School, including attracting external grant income, and to lead innovative research based teaching in the School of Dentistry and Oral Health. The person:The successful candidate will have PhD or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline. They will have demonstrated experience in academic leadership particularly in relation to research with a strong record of mentoring academic staff, particularly early and mid-career researchers, and in the successful supervision of higher degree research students. Salary range:A salary package that includes a base professorial salary of $169,779 per annum and an employer superannuation contribution of 17% of base salary will be offered.
