To achieve the improvement of both educational and research activity in the Department of Applied Biology, Biopolymer Science fields including search / improvement of useful protein as enzymes, development of advanced recombinant protein production, and creation of high-performance ribosomes will be reinforced. The adopted person should also have achievements in the field of Biofiber Science from aquatic insects.

Research fields: 
Any research field related to Biopolymer Science including search / improvement of useful protein as enzymes, development of advanced recombinant protein production, and creation of high-performance ribosomes.
Applicants, with the interests to the biofiber from aquatic insects, would be preferred.

Teaching responsibilities:
Undergraduate:
1st Year Students (Matsumoto Campus): core educational courses.
2nd-4th Year Students (Ueda Campus): specialized courses primarily related to Thermodynamics-Physical Chemistry and Biopolymer Science. 
Graduate School: Specialized courses on Cell Biology, and related exercise and experimental classes.
