Location: Clifton Campus Nottingham Trent University has a long and established history for delivering sport related programmes. The Sports Science department currently comprises ~30 academic staff, ~20 PhD research students as well as undergraduate (circa 600 students) and postgraduate (circa 30 students) cohorts. Recent investments into the department have enhanced our physical resources, research environment and the student learning experience. With our well-equipped biomechanics and neuromuscular performance laboratory in the £4m Natural Sciences Research Centre, British Olympic Association approved environmental chamber, recently refurbished performance analysis suite and 3 physiology laboratories, we offer a friendly environment of excellence and invite you to join us. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer into our established Biomechanics group. An understanding of human performance is achieved through the study of biomechanics with applications to sport, exercise and health. The group is research active and contributes to academic enterprise, as well as delivering taught modules and projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the Department’s learning and teaching, research activity and academic enterprise in the area of biomechanics. In addition, the successful applicant will be research active and able to make high quality entries to any future research assessment exercises. The post-holder will be joining other biomechanists in the Sport, Health and Performance Enhancement Research Centre who are research active in theoretical and experimental biomechanics.
