Major Work Characteristics/Summary of Position
This is a full-time nine month tenure track faculty position. The successful candidate will serve as the Program Director who is responsible for managing the Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science Advanced Placement, and Medical Laboratory Technology programs; maintain all NAACLS standards; conduct and report on outcomes assessment; teach undergraduate MLS and MLT courses; and, serve as a faculty advisor for undergraduate students. This faculty member must be able to deliver courses in a traditional, and synchronous and asynchronous distance education format; must be able to teach, day, evening, and weekend courses; and engage in professional, university, and public service. This faculty member must maintain a continuous scholarly agenda demonstrated through publications in refereed journals and grant awards. 

Minimum Qualifications
Earned Master's degree; Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Medical Technology (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS); hold a current ASCP-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist; have a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in the medical laboratory field; and, a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a MLS or MLT program. 

Desired Qualifications 
Doctorate or master's degree in a health-related field, biology, chemistry, or science or health education. Experience with the development and delivery of courses in an asynchronous online format; curriculum and course development; NAACLS accreditation; and ASCP certification; supply and inventory control; equipment maintenance; and, working with clinical affiliates and managing clinical faculty. Computer literacy in Word, Power Point, Excel, and Blackboard or a similar distance learning platform.
